The Canadian band Rush had an amazing career over the years!!! Originally forming in Toronto in 1968...The band was primarily comprised of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart over the years. Rush was active until 2015 and released an amazing total of nineteen studio albums over the years beginning with their self titled album in 1974 and ending with their record "Clockwork Angels" in 2012! Plus the band also released two live double album collections as well. Interestingly...a disproportionate number of those records were released during the month of October over the years too. A total of four in fact... In October, 1978...Rush released their sixth studio album "Hemispheres"...a record with some what of a supernatural theme to it and the first record by Rush to really receive significant FM Rock radio airplay. Three years later...in October, 1981...Rush released their second live collection "Exit Stage Left" a record that was recorded during their 1980 and 1981 tours to support their albums "Permanent Waves" and "Moving Pictures". "Exit Stage Left" performed well for Rush too...reaching #10 on the Billboard Albums Chart in 1981. Four years later...in October, 1985...Rush released their album "Power Windows"...their eleventh studio album which also went to #10 on the Billboard Albums Chart. And than in October, 1993...Rush released their fifteenth studio album "Counterparts" which performed extremely well for the band reaching #2 on the Billboard Albums chart back in 1993. In fact "Counterparts" was one of the band's two most successful records...Only being eclipsed by their classic 1981 album "Moving Pictures"...
