The UFO film wil be filming in Catskill next month

Steven Spielberg was spotted in South Jersey filming scenes for a new, untitled movie. The legendary director was seen on the railroad tracks of Tuckahoe, New Jersey, directing a crash scene with stunt doubles. Spielberg is expected to be in South Jersey all week shooting scenes for the rumored UFO-themed film, starring Wyatt Russell and Emily Blunt. The production has brought in over 150 workers to the area, with some crew members frequenting a local restaurant for meals. Spielberg was seen on set in a black jacket and ball cap, overseeing the filming process.

Additionally, the acclaimed director will film part of this sci-fi feature, tentatively titled "Non-View," in Catskill and Haines Falls this spring. According to the Times Union, Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc. is seeking local background actors to play hotel guests, diner patrons, and drivers with cars. Filming is scheduled for April 9 and 11. The SAG-AFTRA union rate for the project is $216 for eight hours; the non-union rate is $181.50 for 10 hours. Transportation and housing are not provided, but there is a $37.50 car allowance.

Interested actors are encouraged to email their name, age, contact information, availability, photos, union standing and, if applicable, description of visible tattoos and car to nonview@gwcnyc.com with the subject line “HVFC Greene County Locals.” Complete casting details are available via Grant Wilfley’s casting portal for those with an account or the New Rochelle Council on the Arts’ Facebook page. The project reunites Spielberg with screenwriter David Koepp, who wrote “Jurassic Park,” “War of the Worlds,” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” The confirmed cast includes Blunt, Colman Domingo, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, and Wyatt Russell. The project is currently scheduled for a theatrical release in July 2026.
